Dora Alice Ray

Dora Alice Ray, age 75, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013, in her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born July 21, 1938, in Cato, Missouri, the daughter of John William “Bill” and Belva Naomi (Ennis) Wilson. On July 7, 1956, in Ridgley, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Loya Allen Ray, who preceded her in death on May 11, 2010. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers and a half-sister.
Surviving are three sons, Ricky Ray and his wife, Lanetta of Aurora, Missouri, Doyle Ray and his wife, Kathy of Cassville, Missouri and Randy Ray and his wife, Traci of Augusta, Kansas; one daughter, Debbie Hickman of Bentonville, Arkansas; one sister, Lavonne Phillips and her husband, Howard of Monett, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Dora received her education at Cato and Cassville. She was a homemaker and loved working in her yard. She baby sat for several years and was a grandmother to each and every one of them. Traveling with her family on vacations was one of her greatest joys in life and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dora and Loya had a passion for decorating their home at Christmas for all to enjoy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, in Bridgeway Assembly of God Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Lonnie Stockton will conduct the services. Burial will be in King Cemetery, Jenkins, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in Bridgeway Assembly of God Church, Shell Knob.
